Most courses will use D2L Brightspace as the Learning Management System, but a few courses will use a publisher's site to deliver course information. If this is the case, you should log into D2L for instructions from your instructor on how to access your course information.
- Create a password for D2L Brightspace using your Banner ID and Banner PIN by going
to http://password.gfcmsu.edu. On the page that opens enter your Last Name, Banner ID, Banner PIN and click the
Sign In button. Once you are logged in, be sure to mark all check boxes and follow
the password rules listed on the page to create your password.
- Your username for D2L Brightspace will be your Net ID. If you do not know your username,
go to Banner Web and click into the Secure Area, then click on Personal Information,
and click on View IDs. Write down your NetID because you will need this information
to log in to D2L and to set up your student email account.
- If you forget your D2L or student email password, you can reset your password yourself by going to http://password.gfcmsu.edu. However, if you get locked out of Banner, please call Admissions or the eLearning Office to get it reset.
After you have attempted to reset your password but get the message "Authorization Failed," please call the eLearning Department at 406-771-4440.
